My World of Pink

I was pink from the beginning, my skin the tint of rose,
I left the hospital clothed in pink from my head to my toes.

From there I went on to create my own pink perfect world,
With ballet slippers and a tutu, an array of pink, I twirled.

From countless pink stuffed animals, to the childhood bedrooms where I grew,
There was never a doubt pink was my favorite, everybody knew.

Even now to this day, my favorite it remains,
Said fact is exemplified by my purses and lip stains.

My hands are decorated with pink nails, bracelets, and watchband,
A vase filled with light pink roses rests on my nightstand.

The bedsheets that I sleep upon, the pillow where I lay my head,
Them being any color besides pink, that I would truly dread.

My home away from home, my sorority, I find delighting,
Its colors being rose and white is anything but surprising.

From my favorite tweed dress, to my water bottle that I often spill,
If you come across me without any pink, you should check if I am ill.

I always dreamed of being a princess, frolicking in a pink, fluffy gown,
Dare it be a different color, surely, I would frown.

And though I am no princess yet, my pink I do still flaunt,
It’s evident my love for this color is far from nonchalant.

To wake up in a world of pink, I’d have it no other way,
Pink is more than just my favorite color; it’s a personality trait!
